What ArtCloud includes
Built-in storefront
ArtCloud bundles an e-commerce storefront and payment tools. Artwork Codex provides an artist-specific Selling page or Portfolio Selling with enquiries and purchase requests. Direct online payments are not currently available. Artwork Codex is not a multi-seller marketplace or a full cart-based store, and it takes no commission on artwork sales. If a broader built-in storefront is central to your practice, compare that integrated workflow.
Sales pipeline
ArtCloud includes a more elaborate deal and pipeline management layer. Artwork Codex keeps sales tracking simpler — a sale record per artwork with contact, price, and date.
How the Artwork Codex archive differs
Original media and direct video
The Studio plan stores original-resolution images and uploads video files directly to the artwork record for playback. Embedding a YouTube link can be convenient for marketing pages, but it does not keep the video file in your archive.
Archive documents and outputs
Free and Starter include one COA. Studio adds unlimited COAs alongside printable labels, invoices, saved catalogs, private artwork documents, and media export.
Portfolio branding
Upload a logo, headshot, bio, and switch between light and dark mode. The resulting public portfolio can be shared without building a separate website.
Documented export paths
Export your artwork data as CSV, and use the Studio plan when you need a ZIP archive of your media. These are the current documented paths for taking record data and media out of the product.
Collector-friendly account type
Choose artist, collector, or both as your account type. The UI changes accordingly — an artist-name field for collectors, a display-name field for artists — so the tool fits whichever side of the transaction you're on.

Frequently asked questions
Can I move my inventory from ArtCloud to Artwork Codex?
Yes. Export CSV from ArtCloud, then import it into Artwork Codex using the built-in CSV import with smart field mapping. Images can be re-uploaded directly or via bulk quick-add.
Does Artwork Codex have an online shop?
Artwork Codex can offer work from a public Portfolio or a separate Selling page, with enquiries and purchase requests available now. Online payments are not currently available. ArtCloud includes a broader built-in storefront and payment workflow.
What about my data if I cancel?
Cancellation and account deletion are separate actions. Under the current product contract, cancelling a paid subscription moves the account to read-only mode and does not itself submit an account-deletion request. Paid accounts can export CSV files, the Studio plan can export a media ZIP, and resubscribing restores editing access. An explicit deletion request follows the separate account-deletion process.
Is there really a free plan with no time limit?
Yes. The Free plan includes 5 artworks with no time limit, and no card is required to sign up.
